The World Water Council recently convened the 68th Board of Governors meeting. The Council has been engaging actively with Heads of State and major international organiza-tions to ensure the voice of water is heard by the highest political decision makers.
“Water is politics” were the words of President Loic Fauchon in Beirut. Through these meetings, the Council aims to bolster the recognition of water as a worldwide priority and catalyze action in tackling the urgency of preserving the resource.
In November 2018, NCWSC was re-elected for a three-year term for the second time. The Managing Director Eng. Nahason Muguna sits on the Board and Head of Corporate Affairs Mbaruku Vyakweli as his alternate.
The World Water Council is an international multi-stakeholder platform organization whose mission is to mobilize action on critical water issues at all levels, including the highest decision-making level, by engaging people in debate and challenging conventional thinking. The Council focuses on the political dimensions of water security, adaptation and sustainability.
