The Company recently participated in the 20th edition of the African Water Association (AfWA ) organized and hosted by the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) on behalf of the Government of Uganda.
Non-Revenue Water Manager Eng. Mugo did a presentation on: ‘A journey of institutional change: Extending water services to Nairobi’s informal settlements.’

The overall theme of AfWA 2020 is “Breaking new grounds to accelerate access to water and sanitation for all in Africa”. This theme is particularly relevant to the water and sanitation sector in Africa as most African countries are now faced with immense water and sanitation challenges. The Congress sub-themes were: Water Management, Sanitation Management, Capacity Building, Financing, Research and Innovation and Governance and Regulation. The Congress key objectives were: Bring together a diverse range of practitioners, scientists, development partners and industry representatives, working across different areas of water and sanitation sector across the world.
Others included identifying new breakthroughs (both research and good practices) in addressing water and sanitation challenges in Africa; reflecting on Africa’ progress in achieving the SDGs and establishing new impetus to achieve water and sanitation for all among others.
