Board Chairperson Beryl Lilian Odinga led the Board of Directors on a familiarization tour of Ruiru Dam. The dam is one of the installations the Company operates in order to fulfill the mandate of Water provision and Sewerage services in Nairobi County. It is located in Githunguri ,Kiambu County and it stores and transmits 900m3 of water per day from its eight streams to Kabete treatment plant. The Managing Director applauded the workers for the good job that they have been doing while assuring them of continued support by Company board and management. The staff highlighted their challenges at work and requested for an additional motorcycle and motor vehicle to ease transport and patrols of the Dam

While introducing board members in attendance, Board Chairper-son Beryl Lilian Odinga thanked the board for electing her as the Chair. She also introduced two new members of Audit Committee, Leonard Okoth and Rosalind R.Murithi as members seconded by ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and Audit who joined the Board team in June this year.

She stated that they had formed Pensions ad hock committee as part of ensuring workers welfare is taken care of while the NCWSC Union is doing their part. The event was later marked by ceremonial tree planting led by the Chair where she planted a commemoration tree next to the tree which the first lady had planted last year during a Bidco annual tree planting event.

 ‘History is made when I plant a tree next to the first Lady of the republic of Kenya” said madam Beryl.’
